Huggie earrings are a style of hoop earrings that are small in size and hug the ear. This means that the earring sits close to your earlobe. How To Wear Huggie Earrings?

That being said they can also be used for other piercings including the helix (cartilage at the top of the ear), forward helix (top, front of the ear) and the tragus (in front of the ear canal). How To Put In Huggie Earrings?
Before trying to put in your huggie hoop earrings, you need to consider what type of fastening your huggies have. Although very similar, certain huggies fasten slightly differently. At Estella Bartlett, we have two kinds of huggies including those with a butterfly stud back and a hinged and click opening.
Butterfly Back Huggies
Butterfly back huggie earrings are super easy to put in your ears as the fastening is the same as a pair of stud earrings. Simply remove the butterfly clasp from the earrings, put the bar through the desired piercing hole and replace the butterfly clasp on the back of your ear to secure it.
Hinged Back Huggies
Hinged back huggie earrings are super easy to open and to click back into place when in your hand. However, they can be a little fiddly to close once they are in your ear. To put your hinged huggie earrings in your ear, open up the clasp and put the hinge bar through your desired piercing hole. Once the bar is through your ear, click the hinge into the other side of the earring. This can take a little bit of practice and you may find that you have to slightly push or bend the hinge bar into position to be able to click it into place.
