How Does truSculpt® ID Work?
Your truSculpt® ID treatment begins with applicators placed on your skin. RF energy travels through the skin, heating fat cells to a temperature that damages them without affecting the skin, muscles, or other tissues.
The truSculpt® ID system has an added benefit: the heat stimulates fibroblasts, the collagen-producing cells in the dermis. The new collagen tightens the skin and gives it a firmer, smoother appearance. Body contouring systems that use cold instead of RF energy do not have a skin-tightening effect.
How Much Does truSculpt® ID Cost?
Costs for truSculpt® ID vary depending on where you live, your provider, and which areas you have treated. Most truSculpt® ID prices range from $1000 to $2500. While some people will be satisfied with two treatments, others may need up to four to achieve their desired results. What Can truSculpt® ID Treat?
truSculpt® ID works well almost anywhere that you can accumulate stubborn fat. This includes areas like:

With six applicators, it can treat areas as large as the abdomen and flanks simultaneously for more results with fewer sessions. Each session will remove up to 25% fat from the treated area. Most people will see the results they want with two to four treatments spaced a few weeks apart.
How Long Does it Take to See truSculpt® ID Results?
Because truSculpt® ID is non-invasive, results take time to develop. Your lymphatic system will filter away the damaged fat cells, leading to gradual slimming. At the same time, cells in the dermis add more and more collagen, resulting in skin tightening.
You may start to see the results of these processes after about six weeks. Full results will become visible after about three months.

CoolSculpting® vs. truSculpt® ID
These two popular body contouring treatments share some elements, but we feel that truSculpt® ID wins the competition. CoolSculpting® uses cryolipolysis, which causes fat to freeze without harming the skin. Both are non-invasive treatments that break up fat for removal by the body. However, they have several differences:
Applicators
For CoolSculpting® to work, the applicators must slightly pinch the skin and fat in order to surround the target area. Applicators for truSculpt® ID rest flat against the skin. This allows them to treat people with a higher or lower BMI who have too much or not enough fat to lift.
Comfort
Many people find that CoolSculpting® treatment feels intensely cold and can involve some tingling and discomfort. With truSculpt®, people report a gentle warmth, like a hot stone massage. The RF energy is comfortable for the skin and underlying tissues.
Risk of PAH
Treatments that use freezing to break up fat carry a risk of paradoxical adipose hyperplasia. On rare occasions, these treatments can cause fat to enlarge instead of breaking down. There is no risk of this condition with truSculpt® ID or RF energy.
