Rock’n’roll is back in a big way.
Leather, animal prints and chunky heels have taken over the AW16 catwalks, but it’s not just the clothes that are bang-on-trend. Hodd Barnes and Dickins are excited to announce the highly anticipated arrival of the latest collection of Chrome Hearts Eyewear 2016. This iconic brand represents an aesthetic revolution in the ‘Rock Star Age,’ transforming rocker fashion into a slicker, luxurious style movement which you can now be a part of.
Handcrafted from the highest quality materials with an acute attention to detail, each pair of frames can take up to two years to produce. Blending a biker-inspired aesthetic with precious metal and jewel detailing, Chrome Heart’s intricate iconic motifs include solid silver fleur-de-lys on the temples, carved silver daggers, chunky silver tips, white ebony trim and 18-karat gold plated bridges.
Here at Hodd Barnes and Dickins we strive to provide you with a wide range of A-list frames and Chrome Hearts certainly fits the bill. The international brand has built itself a reputation based on luxurious handcrafted eyewear and today these iconic frames adorn the eyes of the likes of the Rolling Stones, Kate Hudson, Karl Lagerfeld, Cindy Crawford and Lenny Kravitz.

So where did the Chrome Hearts Eyewear 2016 revolution begin?
Chrome Hearts Eyewear is the visionary brainchild of a former leather dealer and optical guru – Richard Stark and Larry Sands.
Motorcycle enthusiast Stark cut his design teeth creating bespoke leather outfits for his biking friends and for B-movie costumes. His creations started turning the heads of California’s ‘rock elite’ and his customers soon included the likes of The Sex Pistols, The Cult and Aerosmith. Alongside his art director wife Laurie Lynn, he developed a line of products and began to sell them into boutiques and fashion outlets. In 1988, the Chrome Hearts brand was born.
But no rock star is complete without a pair of slick shades, so Stark formed a partnership with spectacles legend Larry Sands to launch the first Chrome Hearts Eyewear collection. Having previously played in a band opening for Led Zeppelin and Gram Parsons, Sands also had a personal connection to the rock scene. But he had moved on from his music career, and instead opened a chain of luxury eyewear boutiques catering for the rich and famous throughout North America.
Stark and Sands made quite the pair.
The result? A line of glasses and sunglasses, which has become internationally famed as one of the most opulent and high-end collections in the world.
Each pair is a guaranteed head-turner, with classic shapes embellished with edgy urban detailing, always with an eye on high quality and durability. In addition, all Chrome Hearts eyeglass frames use Carl Zeiss CR39 lenses with additional coatings to reduce reflections and protect your lenses.
