Taking a quick trip to Canada when you are living or just visiting Coeur d’Alene can be a ton of fun! This trip makes its way through quite a few different towns, sceneries, and much of North Idaho. So let’s talk more about this, including how far Canada is from Coeur d’Alene.

So how far is Canada from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho? The road trip to the Canadian border (Porthill) from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho (aka CDA) is 105 miles and should take you a little over 2 hours to get there. This trip will take you through some of the best spots available in North Idaho.

That said, Highway 95 does turn into Highway 2 temporarily between Sandpoint and Bonner’s Ferry, however, no turnoffs are involved here.

2. Cocolalla Lake

This is one of my favorite up-and-coming lakes in our area! If you don’t pay attention, you might miss the lake, however, it is quite large and is an awesome lake nestled next to the highway. Just make sure to look to your left right before you get to the town of Cocolalla and you will get to enjoy this small lake.

3. Lake Pend Oreille
